2022 in Review

Another year has come to an end, and we’re taking some time to reflect on highlights and our favorite moments spent outside. From another memorable Snow Peak Way to ongoing progress on our campfield project and tasty new offerings at Takibi, 2022 has been full of excitement.

Highlights – Memorable Moments from 2022

Snow Peak Way: In September, we came together in Tygh Valley for Snow Peak Way. We spent a weekend camping with nearly 300 members of our community, enjoying Takibi Time, engaging workshops, delicious food and memorable moments under the starry night sky.  Campout For Good: In May, our community came together to celebrate the beginning of camping season by raising support for Outdoors Empowered Network. Together we ensured more youth were able to experience the power of time outside.

Campfield Progress: We've continued progress on Snow Peak’s first campfield in the United States. In anticipation of our opening in 2023, we started a blog series exploring the unique sites, heritage and recreation in the Long Beach area.  Takibi: In 2022 Takibi welcomed a new executive chef, Cody Auger, and the restaurant expanded its offerings to include a weekend lunch service!

Healing Power of Nature – This summer we explored the healing power of nature, featuring the experiences of different Snow Peakers and diving into the brand’s rich heritage.

Recipes – A few of the delicious dishes we tried this year!  Cheesey Shoestring Burgers - Don’t miss this tasty burger option topped with Tillamook Cheese.

Matta’s Breakfast Congee - This savory breakfast dish was a team favorite during Snow Peak Way! Learn how to make it for yourself.  Communal Cooking: Takibi Grilled Chicken - For our Healing Power of Nature summer series, Snow Peaker Rob Darmour shared his favorite barbecue chicken recipe for the Takibi Fire & Grill.

Grilled Shrimp Po Boys - We recommend enjoying this filling sandwich with a view of the ocean!
